This event is part of Cardboard Citizens' three-year national programme of staff training, network events, projects and performances with marginalised and homeless communities. More information about the national programme.
The event will include a performance from Manchester residents with experience of homelessness. The participants have joined us from hostels and homelessness organisations around the city and have been involved in workshops led by Cardboard Citizens.
Ideas and possibilities around homelessness in Manchester will be explored through Forum Theatre - with you the audience shaping the narrative of the performance to get to a better outcome.
The audience will also be engaged in Legislative Theatre - discussing the ideas raised in the performance and coming up with proposals for policy changes to address them in Manchester, which will then be put to a panel of key local figures in the fight to end homelessness.
The event should last two hours, followed by a soft drinks reception.
