... An Open Book

9 July 2010

Join us for the final show by the graduates from ACT NOW, our new youth theatre programme: a finishing point that leads to another beginning...

Follow a rather unconventional librarian on a journey into the hidden worlds of young people.

Meet two dreamless lovers chasing ‘the dream’; a boy with kaleidoscope eyes; the joker whose mask is about to fall; the boxer fighting himself for his dream; a princess who wakes up from her fairytale and a white working-class boy seeking his place under the sun, with a glance towards Mecca.

An anthology fusing theatre with original poetry, music, film and images … An Open Book is an honest and intimate meditation on the nature of transformation.
