Encounters are proud to host a one-off workshop led by Theatre of the Oppressed expert and Cardboard Citizens Artistic Director Adrian Jackson with members of Combatants for Peace (CfP).
In this workshop Adrian Jackson will draw on the stories of the members of CfP to explore how Theatre of the Oppressed techniques. How can Image Theatre work as an innovative tool to create alliances and act as a catalyst for transformation? Together we will seek to gain a deeper understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian divide and how we can translate it into mutual active transformation.
The workshop is suitable for both newcomers to Theatre of the Oppressed and those with an understanding of the techniques.
The workshop will be a unique opportunity for participants to learn how this work can be applied in a specific context (I.e the Israeli/Palestinian conflict) and to meet and work with this extraordinary group of peace activists.

All participants are welcome to attend a free event the same evening - No Victory in Violence - where members of Combatants for Peace will be sharing some their remarkable personal journeys from division and violence towards non-violence and peace. 7.00pm to 9.30pm, Human Rights Action Centre.
