Learn CV and interview skills with Barclays
Applying for a job can be daunting, no matter how much experience you have and what job you are applying for. It requires preparation and patience once you have identified an opportunity you are interested in. This employment skills workshop by Barclays aims to help participants gain skills, knowledge and confidence to understand what employers look for when reviewing CVs and during interviews.
Some interviews may be interested in your experience or qualifications, but they'll also want to know whether you have the right skills of the position. This workshop also provides an overview of some of these skills and how you can structure answers using example to demonstrate you have the right skills for the role.
On this workshop you'll cover:
- How employers access employability
- How to make your CV stand out from the crowd
- How to prepare for an interview
- First impressions and competencies
- The STAR Model for structuring answers to interview questions
