About Barclays Employment Skills
Applying for a job can be daunting, no matter how much experience you have and what job you are applying for. It requires preparation and patience once you have identified an opportunity you are interested in.

This Employment skills workshop aims to help participants gain skills, knowledge and confidence to understand what employers look for when reviewing CVs and during interviews.

The workshop will cover:

  • How do Employers assess Employability
  • How to make your CV stand out from the crowd
  • Interview Preparation
  • First Impressions and Competencies
  • The STAR Model for structuring answers to interview questions

There will also be the opportunity for participants to engage in a “Mock Interview” or one-to-one CV reviews to practice what has been learnt during the workshop.
