Performance of Cathy and the launch of the Labour Homelessness Network
Following an introduction from John Healey MP, we will perform our 5* hit production, Cathy for an audience of Labour Party delegates.
The production is a powerful and timely reflection on the social and personal impact of spiralling housing costs, gentrification and the challenges of the forced relocation. Exploring resonances in today’s society with the story told in the ground-breaking Ken Loach film, Cathy Come Home, 50 years ago. Cathy is directed by our Artistic Director Adrian Jackson and features its original critically acclaimed cast: Alex Jones, Amy Loughton, Cathy Owen and Hayley Wareham.
Following the performance there will be a presentation of Cathy Laws based on feedback collected from audiences across the country in response to the issues raised in the piece. John Healey MP will then conclude the session with an outline of the aims, ambitions and launch of the Labour Homeless Network.
