Speakeasy? is a short course for young people 16-25 who are NEET, homeless or at risk of homelessness. Between 16 and 25? Got things to say?
Join us for the Speakeasy? workshops and perform at Islington Word 2015!
Speakeasy? is a short course for young people 16-25 who are NEET, homeless or at risk of homelessness. The workshops take place in May for nine days over a three week period. Participants will create a piece of theatre and spoken word that will be performed at Platform in Islington on the 4th June. As with all our projects this is a great opportunity to build confidence, communication and social skills amongst participants. There will be the chance to get a Bronze or Silver Arts Award and a PEARL (Personal Employability Achievement and Reflective Learning) qualification.
The project takes place between 10am - 6pm over the following 9 days: 20th - 22 May, 27th - 29th May and 2nd - 4th June. We provide lunch and expenses.
Get in touch with Effie on 0207 377 8948 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can't commit to this project you can join us for our Summer Arts Lab workshops on Monday evenings from 8th June - 13th July.
Co-produced by Islington Council for the Word Festival.
