Cardboard Citizens is the first point of call for over a thousand people every year – young people and adults who have nowhere to turn, no place to go, no bed to sleep in, abandoned by society and in desperate need of our help and support.
For the past three weeks Cardboard Citizens has been working with Rosehill Theatre in Cumbria on a Citz National Residency that will conclude with the sharing of a brand new play today.
As part of our national residencies programme, last month Cardboard Citizens worked with nine young people at Depaul, the national youth homeless support charity for people aged 16 to 25-years old, to create a piece of Forum Theatre.
This week marked the 50th anniversary of the first screening of Ken Loach’s film Cathy Come Home.
Cardboard Citizens is pleased to announce that Prue Skene has joined the organisation as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Cardboard Citizens is in the running to win £25,000 from the Aviva Community Fund and we need YOU to vote for us!
Cardboard Citizens is running a series of residency programmes across England, bringing Forum Theatre, performing arts and creative programmes to homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged groups.
Next month will see the inaugural meeting of the Arts and Homelessness Forum, a new network for anyone interested in arts and homelessness.
We’re looking for a new Development Officer to join the Cardboard Citizens team! This key role will help our busy Development team across all elements of its work from fundraising to communications.
Due to phenomenal demand, you can now watch our hit performance of Cathy Come Home at the Barbican in full on YouTube.
Take a look behind the scenes of our 2016 hit Forum Theatre show Meta by watching our brand new fascinating short documentary.
Are you enthusiastic and passionate? Do you want a job that is both challenging and satisfying? Come and work for us as our new Programme Delivery Manager!
